Yecla is a town and municipality in eastern Spain, in the extreme north of the autonomous community of Murcia, located 96 km from the capital of the region, Murcia.

The Region of Murcia itself contains 45 different municipalities, each with their own local council, so Sucina falls under the administrative jurisdiction of Murcia municipality. Each municipality is broken down into districts, or pedanías, each with their own local Mayor, although managed from the municipal government seat, which in this case is in Murcia capital.

The pedanía of Sucina is on the border with the municipality of San Javier, and borders also with the Murcian pedanías of Jerónimo y Avileses, Gea y Truyols and Cañadas de San Pedro.

It’s well connected to the capital city of Murcia, being 29 kilometres from the centre of the city, and the RM-1 is a direct link down to the airport of San Javier and the beaches of the Mar Menor.
